50th Annual Dove Awards performers announced

Awards to be held 'live' Tuesday, October 15 in Nashville, Tennessee and will air on
TBN on Sunday, October 20, 8 p.m. EST / 5 p.m. PST

The Gospel Music Association (GMA) announced another round of all-star performances for the 50th Annual GMA Dove Awards including nominated artists MercyMe, Lecrae and a collaborative worship moment with Phil Wickham, Brian Johnson and the Bethel Music Band.  Christian and Gospel legends Amy Grant, Michael W. Smith, Cece Winans and Steven Curtis Chapman will join together for a special icon performance.
 
The awards show will be held live on October 15 in Nashville, Tennessee and will air exclusively on TBN October 20 at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST.  Previously announced performers include TobyMac, Hillsong Worship and Kirk Franklin. More talent announcements are forthcoming. Lauren Daigle leads artist nominations with six, followed by for KING & COUNTRY and Kirk Franklin with five nods each. Top nominated writer/producer Wayne Haun scored 10 nominations. “We pride ourselves on using the Dove Awards stage to showcase the diversity of our genre and this year is no exception! It’s going to be a memorable night and we can’t wait to reveal the rest of the line-up,” GMA President Jackie Patillo said. 
 
The 50th celebration will be a powerful evening paying tribute to 50 years of special appearances and sensational stage highlights over the decades. Performances representing modern Rock, Rap/Hip Hop, Pop/Contemporary, Inspirational, Southern Gospel, Bluegrass, Country, Worship and more will make up an evening praising the rich musical diversity from the past, present and future of Gospel and Christian music. Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect.    Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.   In one instance, a woman who shared children with Green alleged that he repeatedly struck her , including once when she was pregnant.
