Nashville, TN (May 1, 2020) – RCA Inspiration has debuted a new video for the Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins Presents The Good News star-studded benefit single, “Come Together,” now available on YouTube. Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins Presents The Good News on “Come Together” – the recently released single from the multi-GRAMMY® winning producer/songwriter to benefit pandemic relief efforts – now features the mega-watt voices of The Good News group together on the new video. Produced by Jerkins, the mega-hit maker mined his Gospel roots to inspire each other during these challenging times, and give back with “Come Together,” which helps to raise funds benefiting the MusiCares® COVID-19 Relief Fund, and Compassion International. Joining the call to action, the collective stars of The Good News supergroup include the voices of GRAMMY® winning Gospel icons and new voices, with Karen Clark Sheard, Kirk Franklin, Lecrae, Fred Hammond, Marvin Sapp, Mary Mary’s Erica Campbell and Tina Campbell, Le’Andria Johnson, Kierra Sheard, Joy Enriquez, Heavenly Joy, Shelby 5, Tim Bowman Jr., Kelontae Gavin, and Jac Ross. “Come Together” was written by Jerkins in collaboration with (the late) LaShawn “Big Shiz” Daniels, Jazz Nixon, and Lecrae.

Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed. Also in 2024, a woman filed a protection order against Green in Houston County in which she believed him to be a danger," but did not confirm Mrs. Massey as the suspect.    Various reports indicate the couple's children were present when he was shot in the head.   In one instance, a woman who shared children with Green alleged that he repeatedly struck her , including once when she was pregnant.
