TV ONE'S REPRESENT OUR VOICE TOWN HALL SERIES EXPLORES HEALTHCARE DISPARITIES AND THE COVID-19 VACCINE

– TV One announces the continuation of the REPRESENT OUR VOICE Town Hall series with two upcoming episodes that explore disparities in healthcare and concerns regarding the Black communities' hesitancy around the COVID-19 vaccine. CNN commentator and political analyst Karen Finney returns as moderator for both discussions which will simulcast on TV One and CLEO TV as well as on the networks' Facebook and YouTube channels.

Episode four, "Critical Condition: Exploring Healthcare Disparities for African Americans", will air on Saturday, February 20 at 9 A.M. ET/8C and focus on ways to combat disparities in medicine regarding ethnic minorities which advocates say are caused by race and racism. Finney brings together a panel of esteemed experts who will tackle this urgent issue and define what must be done to stem the tide. Featured panelists include Dr. Jeff Gardere, Associate Professor, Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City; Dr. Jehan (Gigi) El-Bayoumi, Founding Director, Rodham Institute and Professor of Medicine at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences; Rev. Deborah Webb, Faith Leader; and Dr. Nurse Alice Benjamin, Clinical Nurse Specialist and Family Nurse Practitioner.

In Episode five, "Getting the Point: How Racism and Mistrust Tainted the Covid-19 Vaccine," airs on Saturday, February 27 at 9 a.m. ET/8C and explores why many people of color are remaining hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccine despite it being touted as being 95% effective against mild and severe symptoms of COVID-19. Esteemed speakers include Dr. Reed Tuckson, Co-Founder of the Black Coalition Against COVID-19; Dr. Michael Liu, Assistant Dean of Clinical and Professional Affairs and Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice, Touro College of Pharmacy; Cora Masters Barry, Political Strategist, Activist and CEO; and Zakiya Edens, Teacher, Student Advocate and High-School Administrator.
