ISIS LEADER KILLED IN SYRIA
The leader of the violent Islamic State group was killed, blowing himself and members of his family up, during an overnight raid carried out by U.S. special operations forces in northwestern Syria, President Joe Biden said Thursday. 

US TROOP DEPLYMENT TO EASTERN EUROPE
Biden approved the deployment of 3000 troop to Eastern Europe as an act of solidarity with NATO.  The pentagon said the mission is combat centered but the US stand ready to adjust to condition there as tension between Russia and Ukraine mount.  

BIDEN SPEAKS AT NATIONAL PRAYER BREAKFAST
At the National Prayer Breakfast Biden lamented distant relations between lawmakers, and prayed for unity.  He said politicians will like each other if they get to know one another 
President Biden is reigniting the Cancer Moonshot with renewed White House leadership of this effort. Because of recent progress in cancer therapeutics, diagnostics, and patient-driven care, as well as the scientific advances and public health lessons of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s now possible to set ambitious goals: to reduce the death rate from cancer by at least 50 percent over the next 25 years, and improve the experience of people and their families living with and surviving cancer.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED FOR THE VIEW
Whoopi Goldberg has been suspended for two weeks after she said on air that the Holocaust was "not about race." She apologized almost immediately on Twitter and then again on Tuesday's episode of The View. Her apology was noted in the statement the network issued Tuesday evening. “Effective immediately, I am suspending Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks for her wrong and hurtful comments,” reads a statement attributed to Kim Godwin, president at ABC News. "While Whoopi has apologized, I've asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments," Godwin added. "The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities." Godwin is also African American.
