Warriors Draymond Green suspended indefinitely
(TSN): Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely at the climax of a history of technical fouls that endangered opponents. The NBA said in a statement Wednesday that he struck Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic and would not be allowed to return until he meets certain conditions. "The incident occurred with 8:23 remaining in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 119-116 loss to the Suns on Dec. 12 at Footprint Center. Green received a Flagrant Foul 2 and was ejected.," the statement read. The escalation in punishment comes after he put Minnesota Timberwolf Rudy Gobert (center) n a chokehold earlier this season.
The player has received multiple penalties in the past related to unsportsmanlike conduct. In March and April of this year he was kicked off the court. He received his 18th technical in March which comes with an automatic game suspension. A month later he was suspended for one game without pay for stepping on the chest of Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis, who had held onto Green's ankle when he fell. Green's aggressive behavior dates back to 2013 and has ranged from using obscene language or gestures toward fans and officials and getting physical with players.
