DNI Tulsi Gabbard Accuses Obama of Russian Collusion

Tulsi Gabbard was trending on July 23, 2025, primarily due to her actions as Director of National Intelligence (DNI). She released declassified documents alleging that former President Barack Obama and his administration manipulated intelligence to falsely claim Russian interference helped Donald Trump win the 2016 election.

These claims, detailed in a House Intelligence Committee report, accused Obama of ordering a flawed intelligence assessment, sparking significant controversy. Posts on X amplified this, with some users praising Gabbard for exposing a "Russia collusion hoax," while others referenced her past, including being smeared as a Russian asset and placed on a terror watchlist. Her actions led to the Justice Department forming a Strike Force to investigate these allegations, further fueling online discussion.
