Independent Black Media Company Launches Subscriber Campaign, Upgraded Site and Advertising Specials

In mid-2025 the News Slice Blog experienced an unprecedented exponential surge in national and global readership. A downpour of nearly 300,000 site visitors organically set their eyes on the site without any publicity efforts. This surge in interest solidified the fact that the content the blog offers is appealing and in demand. The Slice News Blog was established to accompany Facebook social media posts and radio reports in 2009 about and Austin has kept it going for nearly 17 years. Austin is a well-established independent newsmaker who provides national news as a public service at www.theslicenews.com.

The need for a reliable source of Black news could not be more dire. From Corporate media has rapidly forced a change and the internet has proven repeatedly that it is vital to surviving in the communication industry. But misinformation has clouded new media as opinions masquerade as facts and is disguised as news by unqualified presenters. Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed.
