COMMENTARY: Trump Is Under the Influence of Religious Leader -- Is He Acting Autonomously?

Weeks after Pres. Donald Trump's Spiritual Advisor Paula White Cain praised him for being chosen by God at an Easter Luncheon, he posted an illustration portraying himself releasing supernatural power. This correlating influence is significant. Pastor White Cain is also allegedly advising the president on U.S -Israel relations, which has produced an unpopular war. The conflict took on the tome of a religious war as various members of the Trump Administration referred to God guided decisions and providential These religiously hyped outcomes are perhaps not of his own design. It is the Florida pastor who has reinforced the idea that God called the president to lead the nation. The image he posted this time, appearing to channel Jesus Christ, sparked a refreshing rebuke from his evangelical base. Dressing like Jesus and performing holy work was apparently a religious redline those garnered rejections from devotees. The presence of an AI cartoon on the president's official account is arguably unscrupulous alone yet the embrace of Godly attributes without demonstrating a Godly attitude was not accepted. Did he feel empowered and emboldened by his spiritual guidance to depict himself as a type of healer/savior? What makes Trump think he can call for peace on one hand and endorse and fully engage in war on the other. Christ is the Prince of Peace. The duplicitous image seems to contradict scripture. Alabama Pastor Shot and Killed in Domestic Incident

Pastor Da’Quarius Green , a 31-year-old leader of Elba Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Alabama, was shot on Dec. 23, 2025 and died several days later in the hospital after a domestic dispute at his home in Level Plains . Authorities have described the shooting as a “domestic incident” involving his wife,  𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐲. Local news station WTVY reported "c ourt records show that Green was arrested on misdemeanor domestic violence charges 3 times in Houston County last year, with each of those cases dismissed.
