(Que up "Baby's Got Back" by Sir Mix A Lot) ...Rapper Nicki Minaj, who technically can not vote in America because she is not a U.S citizen, joined Pres. Donald Trump on the campaign trail in Michigan and a certain body part made news when the POTUS talked about it. He made an a comment about her backside.while campaigning in Mt. Huron for Senate candidate Mike Rogers.
"By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before – Nicki Minaj,” Trump said, after complimenting the physique of Ohio Senator Jon Husted's physique. He had gone viral for his reaction to Usted's rear end a week earlier and transitioned into commenting on Minaj.
“That’s hard to miss. That – stand up! That’s hard to miss," he continued.
She arose from the front row near the stage and waved to the crowd.
“OK, I’m going to get back to my story, Nicki,” Trump continued following still more cheers. “I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki. She’s been with us for a long time."
Trump later invited Minaj onto the stage to speak, referring to her as the "Queen of Rap." She immediately led a "we love Trump" chant.
Minaj has been involved in Trump's second term opining on various policies. Critics have pointed out her presence is paradoxical. While she is ineligible to vote and one of the key issues of the Trump Administration is to stop immigrants from voting yet they are using an immigrant to promote voting. When she visited the White House last year she posted a gold Trump coin prompting people to presume that she was granted citizenship because of her loyalty. But, the White House and Department of Homeland Security cleared up it was a souvenir Trump gave her. It had no legal value.
Officials noted that because Minaj has held lawful permanent residency (a green card) for roughly two decades, she was already entirely eligible to petition for U.S. citizenship through standard legal channels without needing special executive interventions according to the New York Times.
Michigam Governor Gretchen Whitmer said on Meet the Press that Republicans are avoiding talking about real issues like affordability. She said they are not talking about the things that matter to voters.
